About

I was born with terrible social skills. Maybe it was the fact that I was a C-section baby, but from the start, I struggled to talk to people. So, I learned by example. That is what led me to film and television. I watched movies and shows to figure out how to talk to people, and I quickly realized that humor was a sure-fire way to get people to like me. Before I could use this newfound knowledge, however, my terrible social skills turned into severe struggles with mental illness. But even as I hardly left the house and interacted with people, I still turned to film and TV to live life vicariously through the screen. Through all of that, I realized I wanted to tell stories: the stories I wanted to live, the stories I could never live, and the stories I did live. Humor became not just a social crutch to lean on, but a skill that I would ingrain into all of my writing. Comedy is a natural part of life, so why not embrace it?
